This is the 15th year of Year of project’s. However, this will be my first full year. I have no intention of setting unrealistic goals. I will also set monthly goals for myself. I will start with crochet as there is one one project.
Crochet. Complete my Granny Square blanket. My plan was to finish my blanket this calendar year, but with my hand injury, I find that too much crochet leaves my right hand aching.
Knitting
- Start and finish at least four pairs of socks for DH
- Start and finish one summer top for this season. Australian summer.
- Finish Pi Shawl – Started in 2022 – only 15% complete
- Finish Easy Folded Poncho – started March 2025
- Start A blanket with my stashed Nutiden yarn
- Start and Finish Halloween socks.
- Start and Finish either Christmas in July or Christmas Socks
Cross Stitch
- Start – Long-term project Le Marquoir de Marie-Andree by Reflects de Soie
- Finish Anna Subert 1917-1918 by Sovereign Samplers
- Finish Gourdness Gracious by With Thy Needle and Thread
- Start and finish Grimm’s Fairytale by Clouds Factory
- Start in 2025 and Finish 2026 Kringle’s by Little House Needleworks
- Start and finish four mini Halloween patterns – patterns not picked yet

Hoping your hand injury won’t interfere too much with your goals, as it is such a well balanced list of both knitting and stitched projects

Thank you, Ruth. I find stitching easier on my hands than knitting and crochet.

I really like how you have been realistic about things and saying finish items on some not all. I think making a start on some much bigger projects too is a good idea. I hope your hand gets better soon.

I like that you are keeping it simple. That’s what I’m doing. I have to take one day at a time and try not to overdo things. We are going to have a great year.

Thanks. I don’t want to add stress to the thing that helps me relax.
